A payout process that stopped scaling
Baltic Russo pays 12,000 marketplace sellers across eight European countries. By 2024 the payout run took two full-time finance staff two days a week: exporting balances, formatting bank files per country, and emailing confirmation screenshots to sellers.
One queue, one approval
Payouts now land in a single queue straight from the marketplace order system. A finance lead reviews exceptions only — everything else clears the maker-checker rule automatically — and the batch leaves on local rails the same afternoon.
Sellers see status, not screenshots
Each seller tracks payout status in the seller portal through webhooks. Ticket volume about payout timing fell 72% in the first quarter, and the finance team moved the reclaimed hours to cash forecasting.
“The payout queue used to be a spreadsheet ritual every Tuesday. It is a dashboard tab now, and our sellers notice the difference.”
